Art in the Community

Here at Rugby Art Gallery and Museum, one of our aims is to improve health and wellbeing using the arts.

During this time many people have been self isolating. This has led to increased feelings of isolation and loneliness for many people, especially those who are not connected to the outside world by digital technologies. To help with this and provide interesting and fun things to do at home we developed a range of creative resources and distributed them to our local community.

We have distributed colouring books, puzzles and fifty art packs for adults, packed with resources, activity ideas and step by step guides.

Over 500 of our Good Times - Rugby Remembers  activity booklets have been sent out to older members of our community and to those living with dementia.

We created a variety of online resources for children as well as printing and distributing 500 activity booklets for children to enjoy at home.

We have distributed resources to care homes, The Hospital of St Cross, The Benn Partnership Centre and to isolating households via the Rugby Borough Council Shieldling Hub and a local outreach service for people in Rugby who are lonely or isolated - Making Connections. Telephone 07764758474

If you would like any of our printed resources sent to you or know of someone who would enjoy using one of our packs please let us know by emailing us at

We would like to thank The Rotary Club of Rugby and Rugby and Hinkley Building Society for providing £1600 of funding to help us to continue with our work with the The Good Times project.
