IMPORTANT - applications must now contain the information detailed in the council's Validation Checklist and Sustainability Checklist in order for our planning team to register, validate, assess and determine your application.


The council prefers to receive planning applications online.

The Planning Portal allows you to submit planning applications, attach plans and associated documents, keep track of applications, calculate fees and pay fees - all online.

You need to register to use the service. The Planning Portal can receive householder applications and applications of a minor nature. For major developments, you can use the Planning Portal for application forms, etc, but where the development requires the submission of large associated documentation, you can transfer the required information to CD, preferably in PDF format, and send it by post.

Please note: The council can accept a maximum file capacity of 5MB.
