Anya Kalsi - Developing Artist

The Floor One Gallery

29 November - 13 December

The exhibition ranges from two-dimensional drawings and oil paintings to layered or hung pieces that create sculptural forms. Recurring motifs, such as irregular edges, rhythmic patterns, and cut openings, reflect Kalsi's ongoing interest in abstraction, materiality, and spatial relationships. Inspired by intricate natural structures like cobwebs, the pieces invite viewers to explore texture, depth, and the dialogue between surface and space.

'Past Frequencies, Future Communities: The Houlton Tapestry'

The Floor One and Balcony Gallery

8 January - 7 February 2026

The Houlton Tapestry is a community art exhibition that traces the journey from Rugby Radio Station in 1926 to the new town of Houlton in 2016. The exhibition is designed as a story that unfolds in stages, building towards the final artwork: a large-scale mosaic-style tapestry made from thousands of individual images created by local residents and schools.  Up close, visitors can discover the many small contributions; from a distance, these come together to form a single image that celebrates Houlton’s growing community and shared sense of place.
