FREE Crafting & Reminscence Afternoons with Karina Thompson

For Older people and people with dementia and their carers.

Wednesday 16, 23, 30 August

1.30—3.30 pm

Tea & Coffee provided

Gingham uniforms, Paisley pyjamas, Knitted swimming costumes. What memories do different fabrics bring to mind? Karina will be chatting about fabrics and memories and encouraging everyone to have a go at stitching and embroidery. Karina will be machine embroidering people’s memories creating a giant memory cloth

Monthly Creative Workshops

Join our group and keep your hands and minds active with our creative workshops.  Make a range of craft items from button and canvas collages to memory books.  You don't have to be creative, it is just an opportunity to try something new.

Where: Rugby Art Gallery and Museum 

When: The last Friday of the month 1.30pm - 3.30pm

Who: People living with dementia and their carers

•    30th June – Painting pots.
•    28th July – Sea Side theme  - Create a decorative fan and pinwheel
•    25th August – Weaving and painting
•    29th September –  Screen printing onto tote bags
•    27th October –  Vintage tea party theme – decorating bird boxes
•    24th November – Glass Tea lights
•    22nd December – Christmas cards and decorations
