Rugby Open Art Exhibition 2017

This year’s Rugby Open is a celebration of the diverse talent in Rugby and the surrounding areas.  The exhibition is part of our ongoing support for the creative scene of the area and we have been delighted with the support in return -  126 artists entered 272 artworks this year.  It is always a difficult decision to select from the entries and we hope that visitors will enjoy the range of artworks on display.  This year for the first time we have introduced a category to support emerging artists aged 16 to 25 years, which is also supported by new prizes. We hope that this category will grow, encouraging younger artists to be part of our creative community.

We would like to thank this year’s selection panel:

Councillor Sue Roodhouse, Rugby Borough Council
Councillor Kathryn Lawrence, Rugby Borough Council
Keith Ward, Dunchurch Photographic Society
Michael Shaw, artist, Sculpting the Museum, 2017
